Pharell’s Something In The Water Festival took over Virginia Beach (April 26-28, 2019). The multi-day, cultural festival kicked off with performances from monumental artists like JAY-Z, Diddy, Usher, Busta Rhymes, Timbaland, Snoop Dogg Missy Elliot, Tyler The Creator, Pusha-T, Fabolous and more.
The artists payed homage to Pharell’s community impact, as he delivered a number of career hits (including, ‘Frontin’). JAY-Z went on to perform his most nostalgic tracks including, ‘Izzo (H.O.V.A)’ and ‘La La La’. The crowd of 50,000+ was moved to have so many shapers of Hip Hop on one stage, describing the event as ‘not only a VA celebration, but a celebration of these legends’.
The festival also featured appearances by Jhene Aiko, Tyler The Creator, N.E.R.D, Charlie Wilson, A$AP Ferg, Lil Duval, SWV, Blackstreet, Chris Brown, Trey Songz
